It’s a euro away in all but name..
Flymored. What hotel are you staying in, i just bought 3 tickets and looking for a hotel.
Hodgy – we booked the ibis city centre mate.
Flymored- Thanks for that, hopefully it will turn out to be a premier league celebration party!!!!
We have tickets in West Lower. Return flights from Liverpool less than 50 quid! Lovely.
Just tried to book Ibis city centre but looks like there aren’t any twin rooms left on any website. Unless anyone knows where there are any?
Si, I looked on a few sites, appears only double bed rooms at Ibis for £45, manchester flying with easyjet £60, Flybe dearer
Si/Paul, The Ibis in Belfast Queens Quater has twin rooms available for £45.00
Ramada encore hotel – £50 a night for twin or double room on booking.com if any1 is still trying to find 1. Looks a pretty desent cheap hotel!
Si – same here ref. the flights we are on the 10.30am Tuesday flight.
Think Ryanair were cheap from Blackpool as well anyone still looking.
am from northern ireland my self flights from liverpool to derry are 24 quid at the minute if that helps anyone
Flymo – we are on the 8am out on the Tuesday and back at 6pm Wednesday.
Thanks for the tips on hotels. Will have another look later!
Good hotel info lads. Gary, I’m sure that it’ll be a help to some reds, are trains and coaches frequent and what likely cost of travel Derry to Belfast
Yes there frequent Paul from city of Derry airport to Belfast city centre not sure of price though mate am sure if you google it you will get all prices etc
We plumped for the Jury’s Inn eventually. And match tickets arrived today.
I wouldn’t fly into the City of Derry, you would have to get a bus from the airport into Londonderry then get the 212 Maiden City Flyer that runs every hour to Belfast and is about £15-£20 Its about an 90 mins – 2 hours, which is too much hassle as there is numerous ways of flying into Belfast Intl or Belfast city Airport.
Any news on the summer tour yet?
Blinky, far east all but confirmed, it was mentioned about Vidic comeback, don’t know what countries club are looking at but wonder will Indonesia be one after Cancellation in 09, Molde away is rumoured.
Cool, hope they hurry up with confirming the dates, flights might be pricey what with olympics going on
Agree. Their taking a long time arranging things, they tend to with pre-season, expect uk travelling reds aren’t taken into consideration, one thing that may go against them doing indonesia is expect ticket prices for their would need to be a cheaper than say China and Hong kong. I thought they’d consider south Africa with it being a international year.
anyone any ideas whats happening on preseason games?would be nice for a couple of local away games, but cant see that happening.
stockport is the only one that’s been mentioned so far (united x1), hope it’s a weekend that will be good.
I suppose they want to try a few new places instead of s.africs and america every other year.
Wouldnt mind a cheap trip to indonesia!!!!!!
Would anyone be interested in doing a George Best guided tour, hosted by Georges sister? She is looking to get a bus organised for the afternoon of the game on the 15th or the morning after, the 16th. This will visit Georges home, The cemetary where George is buries, the several Murals of George Best in Belfast and a few other George Best related places.
The money raised from this will go to the George Best foundation, but the cost will be kept as low as possible.
Tufty, we might well be interested in that if it happens. Let us know.
Any chance on getting on the George Best tour, I know it’s late but worth a try
