Two away games moved for TV

Two of United’s away games in April have been changed for television.

The reds will now play Stoke on Sunday April 14 at 13:30 and Arsenal on Sunday April 28 at 16:00.

We now know when all of United’s league away games will take place for the remainder of the season.

However, the date for the trip to West Ham would change if United beat Reading on Monday.

Tommy, there was no alternative, so Chelsea have no option. If they delay our game v Chelsea, when would it be played? There are no dates before the semi due to Europe and internationals, so Chelsea would still end up playing on the Monday of a European week anyway. And delaying the FA semi is not an option.

So the option was screw Chelsea with Saturday/ Monday games or have to do that to us and Chelsea, plus also therefore messing West Ham about with no confirmation of that, and then also mess Utd fans about who wouldn’t know the 10th at OT is a certainty.

So while this would be less than ideal for Chelsea, the alternative is something just as bad for them but which messes lots of others around too.

Makes sense Oli, premier league games have until mid may to be finished, the quarter final realistically has to be concluded early April at the latest due to ticketing issues for semi finals

Ok take your word for it mate, if there is no space on the calender nothing they can do, although chances are it wont even be taken to a replay now

So are cup game is defintley the 10th of march no matter what way the results go ? Also any word on west ham ballot what are they waiting on if match is defintley postponed ?

  • Tom

Text off United this morning saying they still can’t do Wham ballot. Also says on site the FA Cup game is date and time TBC.

  • Michael

Does anybody know yet what date the QF replay will be IF we happen to draw with Chelsea this Sunday? Somebody told me Mon 18th, but I thought this would be too close to Internationals on 22nd?
