Reds Away publishes away-match police reports

Reds Away has taken the decision to display police reports of all United’s away games.

Occasionally, United’s ticket allocation is limited when various authorities cite safety problems, yet some do not say what they are.

Police reports from previous games can offer an insight into what the concerns may be and give fans an opportunity to understand what the police and others require them to do before ticket restrictions are limited.

The reports are displayed in the left-hand toolbar.

Reds Away is waiting for various police forces to respond to Freedom of Information Requests.

The only to refuse so far is South Wales Police in relation to the Swansea game. Reds Away has formally appealled.

LOLz Chelsea report, “a man was arrested for drinking whiskey out of a miniature spray bottle commonly used for cleaning hands” lmao

Amazing work by the way! *hats off*

The male ejected from the Mostonian coach at the Chelsea League Cup game, led to me getting home around 1 hour late. What a muppet he was.

Good work though Vitty, very interesting and helps in putting wrongs right in the future.

the west ham one, the report blames the surge on the turnstile as fans been late, yet it was as much to do with the police and stewards directing upper level tickets, to the lower level turnstiles, then them having to go round again, hence a surge. would be good if they acknowledged their problems on these too. well done for these, good work

Higgo i was on the same coach, also to mention that muppet who we had to stop for at the BP near hammersmith flyover and wait for him to get a cab to the coach, good job tony’s a sound lad and we waited. Flipping plonkers. Still made it to work at 09:00 in the morning thou :) , p.s well done on obtaining these Vitty

Shahbs, yes I forgot about him trying to catch up with us in the taxi and his pal on our coach giving directions on the phone. You couldn’t make it up. Like you say not many, if any, coaches would stop and wait. Tony never leaves any behind and in some cases brings some back who aren’t even supposed to be on the coach but for one reason or another are otherwise stranded.

Only read the West Ham one and the appalling level of spelling says it all. Incredible.

  • Interesting reports – and very good that you’ve published them.

As a West Ham fan I witnessed the ‘disturbances’ outside the Central & M&Ms at the West Ham cup game. Police report says ‘batons drawn’ but fails to mention that they were used to repeatedly hit a supporter who was already restrained and on the ground with a dog standing over him. Again the most violent behaviour witnessed at football was from the police.

And as for problems outside turnstiles just before kick offs – kick off should have been delayed as per Taylor Report recommendations, but of course TV rules so it very rarely happens. Or even better, police & stewards not delay fans so they get in to ground on time (we’ve had similar problems at Spurs adn Chelsea).

If united stood up to the other clubs and offered the same conditions to their fans, then it would probably result in fairer treatment for united fans
